The metropa project represents the indeed successful attempt to make people dream of something that does not yet exist but seems fundamentally possible.
Through the transmission belt of one's own imagination, one longs for a reality that creates pressure, forcing those in power to at least think about it.

It began with the simple idea of connecting all major European cities, disregarding borders. Graphically, this thought experiment suddenly resulted in a network plan that looks very similar to that of a metro system.
metropa quickly captured the hearts and minds of thousands of people, aided by the onset of the coronavirus pandemic and the climate movement, because the message is simple: what unites us is more important than what divides us.

In the course of the Suttner audiobook, I became involved with peace activists, and there my long-cherished dream of a tram filled with music, dance, art, etc. was met with open ears. And with the constructive support of Wiener Linien, the project was implemented very quickly and easily. The FRIEDENSBIM ran six times (2014, 15, 16, 18, 19, 21), reaching thousands of people and passengers. Perhaps it will be possible to revive it.
